 Daily inspection items

Before powering on the inverter, check the temperature and humidity of the surrounding environment. Excessive temperature will cause the inverter to overheat and alarm. In severe cases, it will directly damage the inverter's power components and short circuit; excessively humid air will cause a direct short circuit inside the inverter. When the inverter is running, pay attention to whether the cooling system is working, such as: whether the air duct is smooth and whether the fan has abnormal sound. Inverters with a relatively high protection level such as inverters above IP20 can be installed directly open; inverters below IP20 should generally be installed in cabinets, so how does the cooling effect of the inverter cabinet directly affect the normal operation of the inverter? Exhaust systems such as whether the fan rotates smoothly, and whether there is dust and obstructions in the air inlet are all places that we can't ignore in daily inspections. Whether the motor reactor, transformer, etc. are overheated and smelly; whether the inverter and motor have abnormal noise; whether the inverter panel current display is too large or the current variation is too large, whether the output UVW three-phase voltage and current are balanced, etc.

 

Regular maintenance

Clean the air duct and dust inside the air filter. Check whether the screws, bolts, and plug-in are loose and whether the input and output reactors have short circuits to the ground and the phase-to-phase resistance. The normal should be greater than tens of megohms. Whether the conductors and insulators are corrupted, if necessary, wipe them with alcohol in time. When conditions permit, it is necessary to use an oscilloscope to measure the stability of the output voltage of each circuit of the switching power supply, such as 5V, 12V, 15V, 24V, and other voltages. Is there any distortion in the method of measuring each waveform of the driver circuit? Whether the UVW interphase waveform is a sine wave. Check if there is any trace of fire in the contactor of the contactor. If it is serious, replace the new product with the same model or larger than the original capacity; confirm the correctness of the control voltage and carry out the sequence protection action test; confirm that the protection display circuit is not abnormal; confirm that the inverter is running alone the balance of the output voltage.

It is recommended that periodic inspections should be conducted once a year.
 

Replacement of spare parts

 

The inverter is composed of various components, some of which will gradually reduce and aging after long-term work. This is also the main reason for the failure of the inverter. In order to ensure the long-term normal operation of the equipment, the following components should be replaced regularly:

 

(1) Cooling fan

The power module of the inverter is the most serious device that generates heat. The heat generated by a continuous operation must be discharged in time. The life of the general fan is about 10kh ~ 40kh. According to the continuous operation of the inverter, it is converted to 2 to 3 years. The fan must be replaced once. The direct cooling fan has two wires and three wires. One of the two wires of the fan is positive and the other is negative. 1. There is a detection line outside the negative pole, please pay attention when replacing it, otherwise, it will cause the inverter overheating alarm. The AC fan is generally divided into 220V and 380V, and the voltage level should not be mistaken when replaced.

 

(2) Filter capacitor

Intermediate DC loop filter capacitor: also known as an electrolytic capacitor, its main function is to smooth the DC voltage and absorb the low-frequency harmonics in DC. The heat generated by its continuous operation plus the heat generated by the inverter itself will accelerate the drying up of its electrolyte. Directly affect the size of its capacity. Under normal circumstances, the service life of the capacitor is 5 years. It is recommended to regularly check the capacitance of the capacitor once a year. Generally, its capacity is reduced by more than 20% and should be replaced.
